[[ HIKMAH - an Arabic word meaning Wisdom ]]

".....hanya padamu

tempatku mengadu

pahit yang kini menyiksaku

aku percaya tiada yang sia-sia

semua kan ada hikmahnya....."

(Malaysia's ASTRO & Indonesia's RCTI show this version of "Hikmah" when it's aired on their TV but I don't understand why our SURIA shows an instrumental version instead? I personally like this one better..hmm...so what say you, SURIA?)

Wisdom does not belong to just one particular race, society, religion or country. Wisdom is like a bird - free, fast, flying and flowing farther and further, higher and higher.

The journey is long and the time is short - I must push on towards that elusive goal of contentment, harmony and peace - peace with self and everything else around self. My relentless quest for quality-quality of life and quality of living-continues..."When a person hears the words of wisdom but he refuses to accept it, he is an evildoer. On the other hand, when a person hears it but does not act upon it, he is a hypocrite(munfiq)."

Here's an 1890 Arabian Proverb which I'd like to share with all:

"There are four sorts of men:

He who knows not & knows not he knows not: he is a fool - shun him;

He who knows not & knows he knows not: he is simple - teach him;

He who knows & knows not he knows: he is asleep - wake him;

He who knows & knows he knows: he is wise - follow him."
