[[ UPDATE: SINGAPORE TREMORS! ]]

Yes! I experienced the tremors ---- TWICE!

And I'm telling you, it was not a nice feeling.

:-(

I mean, come on...

How would you feel when you're here with your notebook and suddenly, EVERYTHING started swaying?

I honestly thought it was the meds that got me all oozy...BUT not till the blinds began rattling, the door swaying to & fro and my sister-in-law dashing into my room going,

"Kak, did you feel that???"

From then on, I knew it wasn't the meds.

Now this, is no fun at all.

I didn't know what to do.

We're on the 16th floor so should we evacuate by

taking the stairs to the ground floor (read: I was feeling drowsy by then) or go up the roof?

Or should we just remain still, close our eyes & pray that this will all go away?

Why were there no island-wide alerts from the Police or Civil Defence

or something?!?!?

You know, like tell us what actions to take???

I thought the first tremor was bad but I didn't expect the second to be just as worst!

So what did we do in the end?

Well, we just sat in our couch, got our eyes glued to Channel News Asia while indulging in MacDee's Hot Fudge Sundae.

Hah. So much for public awareness.

My sympathies are with the families of victims who have met this tragedy in Padang, Indonesia. May Allah (swt) provide patience to the families of those who have lost their dear ones.

And let us pray for help, guidance and forgiveness from Allah (swt), the Most Merciful and Most Compassionate.

Ameen.
