[[ One word - H.A.P.P.Y. ]]

Why of course......
It's my B'Day!........remember?......

I was looking for a bookcase.

The first thing place that came to mind?

"HEJ, IKEA!"

[swedish for: HELLO, IKEA!]

Since its opening in November last year, it was the first time that we stepped foot into IKEA Tampines. And I'm telling you..it's SUPER HUGE!

We spent a good one hour just going through the store's showroom - from the living rooms to the kitchens, then it was off to the dining rooms, bathrooms, Work IKEA, Children's IKEA and.....

my personal favourite?

THE BEDROOMS

Don't ask me why but it's the one place that makes me feel at home..
See?

And it didn't stop these customers to feel at "home" as well:

After ending up where we started (haha..sounds like a maze!), we decided to take a well-deserved break...

The new restaurant is twice as big as at IKEA Alexandra!

And YES! I was super happy when I saw Poached Salmon as Meal of the Day!

I've come across people pushing trolleys full of items but not when they're pushing trolleys full of these! Neat stuff! And the best part is, I get to have my hands on the trolley as well!

It's right here in IKEA that I get to dispense my own drinks...Fun stuff!

Oritey now..drool away.......

And it's all thanks to this: That's right...if you're a friends member...you get 2 free drinks and 2 discounted meals per day. Every $10 spent is equal to 1 point and points are accumulated for you to redeem free gifts.

Now you'll also get to enjoy:

- Discounts on selected IKEA products.
- Invitations to sales previews and informational talks.
- Receiving store updates through the friends newsletter 3 times a year.

Question: "how does one become a member?"

Simple. Just spend $300 or more on the same day and TAA-DAH! Before you know it, you're IKEA's friends member! (Wow....I should get paid for advertising huh?)

Heheheh.....Naah....well, I more or less know about the friends loyalty programme simply because all it takes is experience.... (miss those crazy bunch!)

After food, we continued our journey...

Market hall areas are bigger, so products are more spread out and easier to find.

The Self-Serve Area looked like a warehouse!

I ended not buying a bookcase but instead, I got these - a red ROSKILDE rug, a GRANAT cushion as well as DAIM - the milk chocolate with a crunchy caramel centre!

And he said - "I've a bag full of bicycle spare parts for you"
Well....in a way, he was right. It is a blue bag.
But its contents?
Nope...not bicycle spare parts (phew!)..

A "Me to You" Bear:

Books (that I mentioned before about wanting to have) from Kinokuniya:

A set of BODY SHOP's strawberry bath & shower gel:

And it all completes with a card full of meaningful words...At the end of the day, B'Day gurl's happy. Very Happy.

This is not the end.
This is not even the beginning of the end.
It is, instead, the end of the beginning..
