[[ ....For good times & bad times, I'll be on your side forever more, That's what (gurl) friends are for... ]]

:: 10 July 2007 ::

Karen texted asking if I could be her shopping partner for the day.
Being a shopaholic myself, it didn't take long to reply her a "sure thing, gurlfren!"

Met her in the evening and was shockingly surprised to see her with these:First thing I went was, "Awww Karen, who's the sweet guy to have given you this?"

I was surprised (of course) when she went (in her signature) "Darling...this is for you..."

I was touched.

TREMENDOUSLY touched.

We were in the middle of our conversation when Karen went,

"...there's another surprise for you."

And before I knew it, this was what happened:

My eyes were covered so obviously, I didn't know who it was.
Not until I heard it was "littlekoreangirl!!"

Yup.....I knew who it was! And I was (again) surprised when she came in with a bag full of Mars Bars!!!

This time round, I wasn't only tremendously touched but I was incalculably and exceedingly moved by how much effort they had put in, of course resulting in my severally overused tear ducts to once more open its flood gates!

:: Thank You, Aziemah & Karen ::

We decided on Swensen's but the queue was super long and we couldn't wait, so we landed ourselves into Sakae Sushi. After dinner, 3 of us went to catch DieHard4.0...

How do I find the movie?

Well, with its intense sequences of action, stunt work and dash of humour, just like Karen (note:it was her 2nd time), I wouldn't mind catching it again..But for Aziemah? She had her head covered with a shawl 90% of the time so a second time for her? Err...maybe not a good idea. Wouldn't want her to have nightmares, you know.

:: 2 days later, 12 July 2007 ::

Time check: 1930h

It was planned that Aziemah was to come over my place.

She said she'll be coming on her own however, her

"WE are coming after 6....." message gave it all away. *smiles*

I knew then, that this Lil One was up to something.

When I heard her Salaam, I really thought she was with someone but I was wrong - she was alone after all - with her big, glowing smile and this:

Yup..she had with her a balloon of Jasmine - my favourite Disney cartoon character! PLUS she presented 3 scented candles with "i", "LOVE", "You" carved on each.

My grandma was around at that time, so we were all just chatting away until I heard another Salaam at the door. Who was it?
There was not one.
But TWO of them.
Now that's double the joy of seeing them right at my doorstep!
They came in.
And of course...not knowing I had something for that special gurl....

It was my turn to do MY surprise.

The attack I had from Shingles made me feel really bad for missing her birthday so this was one of the best ways I could do to make it up...see?....told you she has a big, glowing smile...

By the way, who're the other two gurls that came?

Yup.......they're Ahwei & In...(hehehh....I dunno but this picture of them just makes me smile...Sweetness.) By the time we had the cake-cutting session, my parents and Grandma had left to visit a relative who's unwell. The gurls had come to my place straight from school and looking at their faces, I knew they had not had food, so I called for home delivery. We talked, we joked, we laughed, we watched MTV, we moved from sitting on couches to "lepak-ing" on the floor...and they stayed till a little past midnight..Simply said - we had a wonderful Girls Night In.

:: Thank you, Aziemah, Ahwei & Insyirah ::

:: Yesterday, 15 July 2007 ::

Ever since we left the island, we've not been meeting up as much as we used to and yesterday, I was just glad that meet-up came.

Dana and I had KFC for dinner and it was perfect timing that after our meals, her friend called and this was where we spent the rest of the evening:The view was simply breathtaking and "gurls being gurls", we love to dream...Dana dreams to have her 21st birthday party and I dream to hold my wedding right here.

(but that is if I can get myself my dream guy soon...hahah....dream on, farah!)

The night was in solemn stillness and with the wind blowing through our hair, it was a great place for me and Dana to catch up on the going-ons of our daily lives as well as an opportunity for me to get to know my newly-found friend.

:: Thank you, Dana & Revathi ::

This is not the end.
This is not even the beginning of the end.
It is, instead, the end of the beginning..
