[[ Lantern Festival 2007 @ Chinese Gardens ]]

A meet-up with Arinah & Co., the initial plan of paying $12/- for admission vanished almost instantly when it came to be that (1) the fireworks was a disappointing 10-15 second (yes, s.e.c.o.n.d) "boom, crackle, snap" display, (2) after the pyrotechnics ended, the entire place made a quick transformation similar to that of a typical Saturday night party playing songs like Rihanna's Umbrella, Don Omar's Dale Don Dale and Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls..henceforth, (3) it was better off to view everything from across the river, in an anchored rowing boat, while getting in tuned to those familiar songs that you can easily get off from MTV.

An example of when "East meets West", perhaps?
I don't know but somehow it didn't seem to fit.
Not in this case, that is.

This is not the end.
This is not even the beginning of the end.
It is, instead, the end of the beginning..
