[[ Pepper Lunch, Comex 2008, a given-up seat & a laughing boyfriend ]]
A Friday once again.
For dinner, Da Jie had the priority of choosing a place for the three of us and there at the basement of Suntec City, we walked past one restaurant after another only to end up where we started! I joked at the fact that we'll get good feng shui as we had actually made one huge round the Fountain of Wealth without realising it!
Anyways, we ended stepping into a Japanese restaurant, Pepper Lunch. This made me smile yet again..what a restaurant name, I thought...me having dinner in a Pepper Lunch.
I had myself the Unagi Pepper Rice and I'd say it tasted not too bad, though it'd be generous of Pepper Lunch if they could've added more Unagi in the serving. Our food were served on a hot iron plate and because it was sizzling hot, the food kind of splattered here and there.
And this candid shot I took of Da Jie, I thought was a funny one. :-)

Dinner was over by 8:30pm, after which we took two escalators up to see a HUGE crowd at....

Everything and anything that had to do with technology, this place has. And yes, it covered 5 show floors of Suntec City's Exhibition Centre! So you can pretty much (or maybe not if you've no idea what/where/how Suntec City looks) imagine how huge this event is!
By 9pm, even though there was an announcement made to say the event had closed, the crowd was still coming in and people were exiting in huge boxes of 32" Bravia Plasma TVs, Printers, Notebooks, Video & Theatre accessories and so much more..Golly!...anyhoos, we left only after the "Ladies & Gentlemen, the Comex Event has closed" made its announcement for the 50th time or so...

I thought that the Comex Event would be the highlight of my day BUT not when something happened.
You see, I was on my way home and obviously by this time, the whole train was packed. I entered and just like everybody else, young and old, there were no seats so we stood up. I plugged in my earphones and somehow or rather had this feeling that this guy (note: I wasn't standing infront of him but more of like to his right side) kept looking at me.
He looked like the average office guy with long-sleeved shirt and pants, so okay fine. But it wasn't fine when he stood up and gave up the seat to me. Really. There was a middle-aged guy (infront him) who wanted to sit down but this "office guy" stopped the man, pointed the seat at me and gave the gesture like, "here, this seat is for you"...
Everyone looked, I felt weird so I went like "sorry, me?" and he's like, "yes, this seat is for you"..I didn't know whether to feel honoured or embarassed but just like a drama with people wanting to see my next move, I just went towards the empty seat and said, "thanks".
I've to admit, throughout my train ride home, though there was music playing on my MP3, it made me wonder ---
under which category am I, that had made Mr. Office Guy to give up his seat????
And guess what, after telling Felix of this..he started laughing like as if the story I shared is Joke of The Year! Grrr...He even continued to say, "I love it when you get upset" and, continued laughing away!...yah yah yah....very funny, luv. But at the end of the whole thing, we came to that conclusion that perhaps I'm neither of the above images, maybe I just looked tired after a long day's work so that's the reason the guy gave up his seat for me..Hmmm...Well, it Better be that reason.
